There is a town in Missouri named Renick after the Renicks in southwestern Randolf county. The town of Renick developed some notoriety during the Civil War.

He was married to Mary K. (pos. Catherine) Holloway on 13 Mar 1859 in Saline County, Missouri. Henry Renick Weedin and Mary K. (pos. Catherine) Holloway had the following children:
